Double Kayaks
Double
kayaks have many advantages over single kayaks. Two people of different
skills and strengths can paddle in a double using their combined
strength to power the craft efficiently. A double is usually faster
than a single due to its longer waterline making the craft more
efficient. It is also more stable than a single kayak, as it has a
wider beam which creates more wetted hull surface.
